Dr. James Abolarin is the founder of the Atlanta, Georgia-based I Care Mental Health Inc. As a licensed professional counselor (LPC) therapist with more than 14 years of clinical experience, his goal is to provide a higher standard of care for his clients. He is proficient in client assessment, diagnosis, and the development of successful treatment plans. He assesses the mental health issues of his patients using a variety of counseling techniques. Competent in developing a personalized treatment plan based on a diagnostic evaluation that meets client wellness, Dr. Abolarin is capable of creating effective plans for clients seeking help for substance abuse, couples, individual, and group counseling. He knows how to foster a safe environment for clients from various backgrounds while working with them to ensure their recovery. He is a professor coordinating training sessions for aspiring graduate master's-level students to improve their ability to use a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) application to treat his clients both in therapeutic and psychoeducational settings. Dr. Abolarin holds certifications as a clinical professional counselor supervisor (CPC), a licensed professional counselor (LPC), and a national certified counselor (NCC). He has had the opportunity to work with a range of clients while working as a counselor educator and supervisor (CES). He is an expert in intercultural counseling, mentoring, couples therapy, psychoeducation, coaching, evaluating, and intervening in a wide range of psychological, mental health, and spiritual issues.
