My Approach to Helping

Life is full of opportunities to experience love, and love is at the core of it all. Without love, a void emerges, and if left unaddressed, it only grows. Every person has an inherent need to both give and receive love. But what happens when we forget to show love to ourselves? It’s essential to start with self-love, as this inner shift creates a ripple effect that impacts everyone around you. You have the power to begin this journey and heal yourself from within.

Jamie Lard deeply believes that taking even a small step toward self-love is a giant leap toward healing — not only for yourself but also for your family and community. Jamie works with a diverse range of clients seeking assistance in various areas. Counseling can be a valuable tool in exploring paths to healing, and the journey toward personal growth and transformation starts with you.

Jamie Lard holds a Master of Social Work degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. He takes a holistic, integrative approach to therapy, using a variety of methods to best serve his clients, including: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, existential therapy, strength-perspective therapy, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), trauma-informed care, rational emotive behavioral Ttherapy (REBT), and mindfulness techniques.

With over 7 years of experience, Jamie has supported individuals of all ages, guiding them through challenges like addiction, trauma, abuse, and the cycle of self-sabotage. His passion for helping others led him to pursue advanced clinical social work studies, and he is dedicated to empowering his clients to heal and thrive.
