Cedar Park is a city located primarily in Williamson County, Texas. A small section of the city also lies in Travis County. Cedar Park is home to 76,000 people. The city’s population increased by 37% between 2010 and 2017.  It is the fastest growing city in Williamson County.

The Cedar Park Police Department has a part-time Crisis Negotiations Team (CNT). The CNT responds to high-risk scenarios, such as cases in which a person has suicidal intent. Members of the CNT receive special training about mental health and conflict de-escalation.

WIlliamson County also has a Mobile Outreach Team that assists individuals who are experiencing mental and emotional issues. The team consists of paramedics and mental health clinicians.
