My Approach to Helping
My approach to helping you is supportive, non-judgmental, and honest. In order to help, sometimes you need guidance, direction, information, or just a listening ear. I feel it is important to create a safe place in which you feel free to explore your struggles, questions, and give a voice to the reality of your life. With awareness comes the choice to change.
More Info About My Practice
I have been in the field for over 25 years. In addition, I have supervised student interns and practicing therapists as well as supervisor candidates by supporting their development as quality therapists and supervisors.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
My therapy focus is tailored to your needs as an individual, couple, or family. We develop a treatment plan together indicating the goals on which we agree to work and the mode(s) of therapy to address them. I feel it is important to spend time building an accepting and trusting relationship between us. This way we are able to discuss difficult issues without judgment, honestly, and feel free to be ourselves.
