My Approach to Helping
Are you struggling with anxiety and depression or having difficulty just getting through the day? Would you like to get out of your head and stop overthinking every little thing? Shame and guilt can hold you back from reaching your potential in your life and from the happiness that you wholeheartedly deserve. Those thoughts in your head that are always putting you down CAN be tamed using simple tools that you can learn and effectively use every day in your life. You can find balance and joy, and I want to help you on your journey.
Our work together will consist of teaching you tools to help cope with the anxiety and depression you are feeling right now. Listening to your concerns takes center stage because this is YOUR life we are talking about. I understand your need for tools that will immediately help you decrease the symptoms, but that will also be discrete and not interfere in your life because the purpose of therapy is not to learn fancy, new techniques, but to get back to enjoying life in a balanced, healthy way. You will find that I am very down-to-earth and grounded. Most of our conversations will focus on what\'s going on in the here and now. However, I also believe that the past is important because it made you into who you are today. Often, the coping skills and techniques that you learned in the past no longer fit and have become roadblocks to your happiness. We can explore these topics in a safe, collaborative environment that will allow you to grow and thrive while releasing the pain and anxiety.
