My Approach to Helping
I believe people are essentially healthy. What we call "dis-ease" is our best attempt at getting our needs met in the face of difficult realities. I bring my personal life experience--77 years and going strong, married 40 years with 5 children and 17 grandchildren--combined with 50 plus years in practice, to help people be successful in their lives and their relationships.

My fees, based on my life experience and effectiveness. People pay as they go and I bill you for your insurance. I can also offer payments for those who can't afford my fees.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
This is an opportunity to connect with people in a deeply personal way. Together we form an alliance that can enrich both our lives. I've been doing this for more than 50 years and look forward to getting better and going deeper throughout my life.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It's OK to take your time, ask questions, find out about the therapist, who they are, what they believe, and how they live their own lives. Trust takes time to develop. When you're ready to start therapy, I'll be there waiting for you.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Many of us, particularly men, grow up believing that we should handle our problems ourselves. We are taught that it is weak and "unmanly" to ask for help. It isn't easy being vulnerable to another person, but I've found that as I open up myself, my clients can learn that it's OK to share their deepest feelings and we can work together to help you become the best person you can be.
