My Approach to Helping
I work with a wide range of clients, many of whom share similar challenges, work and organizational stress, health concerns, grief and loss, or are experiencing other difficulties, such as PTSD and other traumas (including compassion fatigue), depression, or anxiety. My approach is person-centered, focusing on you, the client, and the moment-to-moment engagement, discovering insights together. I can help you discover insights into barriers and the constructive solutions to overcoming those barriers. Each person has the right to live a life free of negative thoughts and experiences, a life of healthy well-being.
I guide clients with constructive coping tools to increase emotional health and to reduce symptoms, using motivational interviewing, brief solution-focused therapy, and other evidence-based interventions, including EMDR. Each person’s life circumstances are unique; each person’s view of the world and the ability to manage and understand it is unique.
The first and most difficult step in healing is seeking help; each step after is progressively easier, as we take one step at a time. In your individualistic journey, I can help guide you in reorganizing your life to reassess and reprioritize what is most important, to regain balance. I can help navigate the path toward healing and rediscovery.
