My Approach to Helping
Jeff Zalta understands the human experience can be difficult, including a wide spectrum of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. He holds empathy for this experience at the heart of his practice.
Jeff specializes in anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship issues, feelings of being stuck, and PTSD. He creates an individualized approach to meet each client's needs that includes personal, family, and social contexts. He creates a safe and empathetic environment for his clients and also brings a realistically optimistic spirit to the therapy room to foster resilience, self-efficacy, empowerment and change.
Jeff incorporates elements of evidence-based practice, relational therapy, practical skill building, and psychodynamic therapy into his work. Additionally, he utilizes solution-focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients reach their personal, professional and social goals.
