My Approach to Helping
I'm a Harvard-trained, Psychiatrist with 8 years of experience. Specializing in Reproductive Psychiatry & Women's Mental Health.
I believe your story matters. Therapy is an opportunity to put words and language to your own experiences—including the things you may not have shared out loud before. As a physician with a background in Narrative Medicine, I believe that your story forms the foundation of our work together. I am trained in psychodynamic therapy and tie in elements of supportive therapy as well as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) depending on your needs and goals. This is a space where you can feel seen, heard, and held as you engage in the powerful process of looking at your life and experiences from new perspectives.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Prioritize your wellness with psychotherapy in conjunction with medication management.
You don't have to go through life feeling like you're in survival mode.
Psychotherapy can offer a place to look at your current and past experiences from new perspectives and receive support as you move into the next chapter of your life. Let's look at your wellness beyond just the biology.
Together, we can address each part of your mental health & wellness.
My Role as a Therapist
I understand if you feel some apprehension about exploring medication options. If we decide meds may be a good fit for you, I take a conservative approach with treatment. My expertise in integrative psychiatry also allows us to choose from non-pharmaceutical options as well. I'll keep you informed about what to expect and when to expect it: we'll talk through why each medication or supplement is selected and what exactly we are trying to target with each one.
I'm also here to help explore finding more affordable medications, how to manage side effects, and other ways to make medication fit your goals & your life.
My Guiding Ethical Principles
I practice at the intersection of female-first care, social justice, and evidence-based medicine.
I view my work as an opportunity to help women feel seen and supported through the most transformative stages of their lives. I am also passionate about social justice and exploring issues of race and motherhood in medicine, which is why a portion of my practice is focused on supporting women of color and the unique challenges they face in pursuit of quality, culturally responsive medical care.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
For those who are hesitant to try therapy, I would encourage you to consider how it can empower you to engage in introspection, appreciate the beauty of life's complexity, transition from survival mode to thriving intentionally, process identity, future, and past questions, and invest in yourself as you do in others.
