My Approach to Helping
I understand how overwhelming life can feel. It’s natural to feel stuck, lost, or defeated, but you don’t have to navigate these challenges alone. Let’s get to work so you can be your best self.
My approach to therapy is centered on helping you find relief, break free from unhelpful patterns, and develop new strategies to manage areas that you feel are holding you back. Together, we’ll work toward creating meaningful change and a life that feels more fulfilling.
From our first session, our work will be collaborative, active, and practical. We’ll develop a plan tailored to your unique needs and goals. Real change happens when tools and strategies are practiced in daily life, so I’ll often suggest activities or assignments between sessions to help you track progress and see real results.
I use my professional experience to help with areas that you want to work on, combining proven treatments that work. Above all else, I care deeply about making sure you feel comfortable and supported each step of the way in this journey.
As an LGBTQIA+ therapist, I understand that our experiences with stress and identity are unique. I am passionate about providing support to people from all walks of life, creating a welcoming and affirming space for everyone. Whether you're exploring your gender or sexual identity, managing family or community dynamics, or addressing experiences of discrimination and trauma, I’m here to support you. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported as your authentic self.
My main approach is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a research-backed method that explores the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also draw from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), an action-oriented approach that emphasizes acceptance and commitment to making meaningful changes. I am very much focused on solutions.
