My Approach to Helping

My Approach to Helping:
I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when your relationship feels distant or stuck. Whether you and your partner are navigating emotional pain, communication breakdowns, or the aftermath of a difficult experience, I’m here to offer compassionate, understanding support. My approach is experiential—focusing on the present emotions and experiences that are impacting your relationship. Together, we’ll work to create lasting change and rebuild the connection that once felt strong.

I specialize in helping couples face challenges like addiction, trauma, infertility, infidelity, grief, and relationship struggles. By combining tools like the Gottman Method with holistic, tailored techniques, I offer the support you both need to heal and grow as a couple.

Who I Work With:
I work with couples who feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. If you’re feeling lost, misunderstood, or stuck in your relationship, I’m here to help you rebuild and strengthen your bond. I offer a safe, inclusive space for couples from all backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, kink, and diverse sexual communities. If you're ready to take the next step toward healing, I’m here to walk alongside you.

My Process:
In our sessions, I take the time to understand your unique challenges as a couple. We’ll explore how each of you feels, what’s been affecting your emotional connection, and where you might be getting stuck. Through the Gottman Method, I’ll guide you in improving communication, rebuilding trust, and fostering intimacy. For those dealing with individual pain or family struggles, I work with you to heal past wounds, improve self-awareness, and create healthier patterns for relating.

Is This You?
You might be facing struggles like:

Infertility: Feelings of isolation, frustration, and grief may be taking a toll on you and your partner. Let’s work together to help you reconnect and support each other on this emotional journey.

Intimacy or Sex Issues: When intimacy feels distant or your sexual relationship is unsatisfying, it can cause tension and emotional pain. I’ll help you improve communication, build trust, and explore your desires in a safe, nonjudgmental space.

Addiction: Whether dealing with substance abuse, gambling, or other behaviors, addiction can deeply affect both individuals and their relationships. I’ll work with you to address these issues, rebuild emotional connection, and support healthier patterns.

Grief: Loss—whether of a loved one, a relationship, or a future you imagined—can feel overwhelming. I’ll provide a compassionate space for you to process your grief and find a path toward healing.

Infidelity: Infidelity can shake the foundation of any relationship. I’m here to help you and your partner navigate the emotional pain of betrayal and rebuild trust, ultimately strengthening your relationship.

Parenting Stress: Parenting can feel isolating and overwhelming, especially when you're balancing your own relationship and family dynamics. I’ll help you prioritize your connection with your partner while managing the stresses of parenthood.

Premarital Counseling: If you’re engaged and want to lay a strong foundation for your future together, I’ll guide you through strengthening communication, understanding each other’s needs, and preparing for a healthy, long-term relationship.

A Little About Me:
Having personally experienced challenges like addiction, infertility, and grief, I understand the complexities of navigating difficult life transitions. I moved to Texas to create a new path for myself, and now, I’m here to walk alongside you and your partner on your healing journey.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

I understand that therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've had a negative experience in the past. It's not uncommon for people to feel dismissed, misunderstood, or like their therapist didn't truly "get it." Sometimes, a mismatch in therapeutic styles or even feeling unheard can leave you feeling hesitant to try again. If this sounds familiar, I want you to know that your past experience doesn't define your future in therapy.

In my practice, your voice and preferences are central. You should never feel pressured to follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Therapy is a partnership, and we will work together to create a safe and comfortable space where you feel respected and heard. If something doesn't feel right, whether it's the way we're communicating, the approach I'm using, or simply the pace of our work, let me know. Your feedback is valuable, and I will adjust accordingly.

My goal is to make sure you feel supported throughout the healing process, and I believe that honest, open communication is key. You deserve a therapy experience that feels affirming and empowering. If you've had a negative experience before, I am committed to providing the kind of therapeutic relationship where you can feel seen, understood, and actively involved in your healing journey. Let's make this experience different and work together to create the positive change you deserve.
