My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed professional counselor with a passion for helping young people through life’s transitions. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from New York University and Master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Baptist University.
My professional experience includes 15 years in education working with families, middle school, high school, and college students.
Having worked in the college setting, I also have a focus on career counseling. Using a client-centered approach, I help clients establish career goals, values, and roadmaps of their preferred future.
My personal, professional, and educational experience allow me to support clients with issues such as:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Family conflict
• Identity issues
• Anger management
• Career satisfaction
• Stress
As the daughter of Mexican-born immigrants and Spanish Speaking clinician, I also take special interest in assisting individuals and families struggling with acculturation, assimilation, and other issues that being first-generation may bring.
