My Approach to Helping
As a therapist, my mission has been to help people come to a place where they realize that they are never too lost or never too broken to heal, to thrive, to love, and be loved in return. I understand that there are neurological disorders and also times that medication is necessary, but I also strongly believe that a lot of our day-to-day struggles are rooted in our attachment relationships with ourselves and others, along with trauma that we may or may not be aware of in our lives that has not been healed. I have been in this field working with all different populations for 20+ years. I started my journey, even before getting my master's and being licensed, working with adolescents who were in residential facilities, which led to working with families in and out of the home. I have worked with all populations, those with different backgrounds and concerns, as well as children, teens, families, couples of all ages and backgrounds. I believe strongly that everyone’s journey is unique, and I am very passionate about how to help you in your own journey towards healing mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. One of the areas I am very passionate about is relationships of all kinds. I want to aid in helping parents, couples, andor children break trauma cycles and create who they want to become, as well as develop healthy skills and tools that will aid them in their day-to-day lives. My approach is collaborative, attachment-based, and solution-focused. I utilize a multi-modal approach with techniques individualized to your needs. The strength it takes to make that first step in reaching out for help is amazing, and I am so glad you are making it. I look forward to working with you!
