My Approach to Helping

Congratulations on taking the first step toward emotional healing and reclaiming your inner power. There is a misconception that something is wrong with us if we need therapy. But the truth is that humans need other humans; we thrive in community and support. Therapy is a place to find that support, to go inward, to heal yourself, reclaim your power, your love and connect with yourself. By going on this journey you will find your own freedom and joy.

More Info About My Practice

My approach is collaborative and affirming; I offer a brave space for you to show up as you are, learn how to sit with discomfort, and engage in a reflective process that will lead you back to love, back to yourself. I provide practical tools to help manage current stressors. I acknowledge oppressive systems that contribute to our distress and self-harming beliefs. My framework of practice is eclectic, using CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), trauma-focused and culturally sensitive interventions, mindfulness, and systems approach. Together we can find a more hopeful future and start living more fully in the present moment as you regain agency in your life.
