My Approach to Helping
Before I tell you about how I practice, let me tell you that I am happy you are seeking help. This first step is not always easy, but it can be life-changing. Change is normal and at times expected, but it can also cause stress and wreak havoc in our lives, disrupting them. Sometimes the change is traumatic and unexpected and can cause our moods to shift, or behavior to change. Therapy can help when the changes that occur in your life affect your everyday life. Are you seeking help for your child, adolescent, or yourself? Are you seeking to improve communication with your family and friends andor improve your relationship? Are you feeling stuck or needing extra support? Is there something you are struggling to cope with or a trauma you are struggling to heal from? Whether you are new to therapy or have had therapy in the past, I will meet you where you are. Whether you are an adolescent who is struggling to communicate with friends or family, a young adult struggling with the transition into adulthood, an older adult seeking peace and less stress, or someone simply trying to cope and heal from past trauma, my practice centers around diverse clients of all ages. I see older children, teens, young adults, older adults, and beyond. The time from a child until the transition into adulthood, into middle age, and beyond is filled with many changes and challenges, both expected and unexpected. It's OK to not be OK, but you do not have to go through this alone. I can help. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, and family systems therapy to help you with your current stress and concerns andor past trauma. We will work through your issues collaboratively, whether there is trauma, cultural stress, major changes, work-school-related stress, relationship issues, identity issues, or family changes that you need help with. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma. We will look at where you come from, where you are, and where you want to be. I am a native of Los Angeles, California, currently residing in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. I am a bilingual therapist who speaks Spanish. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2020. I am now a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I will meet you where you are. You will help me, help you, with your needs. Are you ready to see change? Then reach out to me now, and together we can work to achieve a happier and healthier you!
