My Approach to Helping

My name is Jewels Willing and I specialize in parental narcissistic abuse recovery. I provide treatment to adults who grew up with emotional neglect, the "Mother Wound," psychological trauma, chronic invalidation (and much more) and now suffer from anxiety, struggle to use their voice to speak up for themselves, find it hard to set healthy boundaries with others, have people-pleasing tendencies, self-doubt or find themselves in troublesome relationships that are challenging to navigate. I have been trained in attachment trauma and parental narcissistic abuse. I am deeply committed to this work.
Difficult childhoods can cause changes in our brain and body. A lack of safety when we are children can create anxiety and challenges in our adult relationships. I incorporate Internal Family Systems therapy, for those who are interested in connecting more fully to themselves. I am a gentle therapist and create a safe space to heal the wounded, inner child.
To everyone seeking support, please know this: Everyone deserves to have a voice and your voice is important. Your feelings matter and you are not alone :)

More Info About My Practice

I have completed Level 1 and Level 2 certificate training in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy with Dr. Sue Johnson and Internal Family Systems training with Dr. Frank Anderson. I have recently completed a three-month certificate training program, "Treating Adults of Emotionally Immature Parents: How to Reclaim Their Lives from the Toxic Legacy of Controlling, Rejecting or Self-Involved Parents," with Dr. Lindsay Gibson.
