My Approach to Helping
Jill has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kansas State University and a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Counselor (LIMHP) and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC). She has been a licensed counselor in the state of Nebraska for more than 20 years. During that time, she has worked with hundreds of individuals, couples, and families coping with substance use problems, mental health disorders, and life issues. She has experience with youth and adults, and she has expertise in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of substance use and mental health issues. She has received Level One and Level Two EMDR training. She specializes in working with individuals with a trauma history, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol issues, grief, stress management, and adjustment disorders. Additionally, she has extensive training and experience treating and working with individuals who are coping with substance use disorders and the family members who have been impacted by addiction.
