My Approach to Helping
If you struggle with anxiety, lying awake at night worrying, perhaps having panic attacks, feel like there is "something wrong with me", because you find there are patterns in your life that make you feel stuck, you have come to the right place! I believe in the goodness of people, and work to bring out their own wisdom to help resolve their concerns. So much of anxiety and depression are "thinking" problems - patterns of thinking and believing that were learned when you were young, and that can be successfully changed! So you get to move forward in life with new skills and understanding. People can learn to change their thinking, and then change behaviors that are not working for them. I also work with patients to build on their strengths, and to help them see that they are more than their "issues". I believe that is life is a school - full of lessons to be learned, or un-learned. That we will do better when we know better, and we we have the goodness in us to build on.
