My Approach to Helping

Jim Madden is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), at Purple Flowers 365 Counseling Services. Jim's area of expertise includes helping those who struggle with addiction, and anxiety. Jim has been involved in the recovery community for over 34 years. Through his experience and compassion Jim breaks down the many barriers to sobriety; as he works with individuals and families to embrace recovery. Jim believes if an individual has suffered with anxiety, depression, anger, continuous irritability, feelings of worthlessness, and sleep issues, for more than 30 days, heshe should reach out for help.

When people have a "sense of purpose," and a strong connection with others, life has meaning. When individuals do not, life can feel like a trudge. For most of us stumbling forward is often the norm, not the exception. When individuals believe, life is continuously about, "rolling the boulder up hill," they have become desensitized to their own emotional pain.

Most of us have been strong for too long, and desperately need an alternative lens to see through - or new narrative to embrace. As trained Licensed Professional Counselors we are not only sincere and objective, but we are committed to being empathetic, and non-judgmental.

More Info About My Practice

We Believe in Being of Service to Others

First and foremost we are Licensed Professional Counselors with a mission to be of service to others. For us, this means we see clients no matter their economic status or insurance type.

We Are not Here to Judge

We believe in kindness, and empathy. We seek to put ourselves in the other person’s shoes.

We Fast Track New Clients

We also know how difficult it is to reach out for help. We believe most of us have had to be strong for too long; and by the time one musters up the courage to reach out for help – it’s urgent! That is why we fast track new clients. We don’t believe in waiting lists. We don’t believe in endless paperwork that requires a client to share intimate details prior to meeting with their therapist. We don’t believe that the right insurance or economic status should dictate if one receives care.

We Believe Strongly in Human Contact

Of course we do Telehealth. But we believe so strongly in human contact that if you are within 5 miles of our location we can have the therapist come to you – with no extra expense to the client. This works great for the homebound, and corporations that allow, and encourage employees to take their mental health seriously. Offering workers (the benefits of an onsite therapist), can remind workers to make their mental health a priority.
