My Approach to Helping
The essence of my work lies in creating a relationship with you in which you would feel safe to engage in an inner journey home-toward opening your heart to yourself by cultivating compassionate self-understanding and developing trust in what is being felt and experienced in the moment. Old hurts and self-defeating beliefs can cause us to close down our capacity to feel our vulnerable feelings, trust, ourselves and others, and this then affects our ability to open to a loving and kind relationship towards ourselves and others. I support you in allowing love to work its way through you impacting all areas of your life.
More Info About My Practice
It is my hope that our work together would help you embrace your innermost feelings, truths, uniquenesses and the complexities of life and relationships by increasing non-judgmental awareness, self-compassion, self-acceptance, resilience and strengthening your ability to express your feelings with greater authenticity as well as support you in finding and expressing what you want in your relationships and in cultivating a deep sense of personal integrity.
Compassionate mindfulness practice is one of the foundations of my treatment approach. My work weaves together the heart-wisdom of Buddhism and Taoism with contemporary views of relational psychoanalytic psychotherapy, body-oriented awareness and dream work.
