My Approach to Helping
I help those who are struggling under the weight of life changes, depression, anxiety, anger, and many other issues find ways to alleviate their suffering, and find coping skills to deal with their symptoms. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to examine the assumptions behind unhelpful thoughts and feelings and to provide practical guidance in changing problematic behavior or habits. This approach, combined with a compassionate, listening ear, can help you live a happier, healthier life.
More Info About My Practice
I see clients for teletherapy sessions Wednesdays through Fridays, during the day and evenings. My fee is $120 for telehealth visits. I accept Aetna, BCBS, UHC, and Cigna.
My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist is to help you figure out how to help yourself. I am not here to give advice or push my ideas on you. You are the expert on yourself - I am here to help you dig deeper and figure out the solution to your problems.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
I use brief, solutions-focused therapy, which means that clients have about 8-12 sessions before finishing. You will usually see changes after the first few sessions, and after a few months find that you are better equipped to handle the problems in your life.
