My Approach to Helping

I'm a dedicated mental health therapist with a passion for helping individuals navigate their unique journeys. I believe in the power of empathy, safety, and humor to foster a therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I work with adolescents (13+), young adults, and adults who are dealing with a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, sexuality, self-esteem, grief, ADHD, and trauma. I understand that each person's experience is unique, and I am committed to helping you find solutions and coping skills that work for you.

I primarily use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and Motivational Interviewing. I offer in-home, in-community, and telehealth services. I believe in meeting clients where they are, both literally and figuratively. This flexibility allows me to provide support when and where it's most needed.

In our sessions, you can expect a blend of seriousness and light-heartedness. I believe that humor can be a powerful tool in therapy, helping to make difficult topics more approachable and the therapeutic process more enjoyable. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you on your journey towards healing and growth!

More Info About My Practice

I often use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in my practice. In your first couple of sessions, we'll get to know each other, discuss your goals for therapy, and start to explore some of the challenges you're facing. As we move forward, we'll work together to develop coping skills or other strategies that may help you navigate these challenges and make positive changes in your life.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn't mean you can, should, or need to do it alone." -Lisa Olivera.

Do you find yourself constantly worrying, stressed, or like you are trapped, and you cannot seem to escape? Do you sometimes feel like no one understands you? You do not have to struggle in silence. I am pleased that you have taken the first step in addressing your concerns. In my practice, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to be able to share whatever is on your mind and where we can explore your concerns together. Let?s sit down and talk!
