My Approach to Helping
As a Health Psychologist I provide a holistic approach to physical and emotional wellbeing. I believe health challenges such as chronic illness, a life changing illness, or unhealthy habits and the their associated anxiety, stress, depression, trauma and grief need to be addressed on all levels. From more than 20 years experience in clinical practice and my own healing journey I developed a deep appreciation of the interplay of physical and emotional health. My goal is to provide a warm and non-judgemental space where together we will look at the current challenges you face, how past experience continues to affect you today, what values are most important and what living well really means. My work employes strategies for change from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness and Somatic Psychology. Together we will explore your needs, where you may have gotten off track or run into blocks and develop ways to move forward in your life in a meaningful way.
