My Approach to Helping
I'm an artist and therapist. As an artist, I work in different types of media. I have found art to be healing. I have two cats and a dog who bring me a lot of joy. I work with people of all gender identities, age 13 and up. I have a Person-Centered approach to therapy. I believe that you have the power to achieve a healthy and balanced life; my role as a therapist is to help you process through this journey. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. I have worked in Treatment Centers as well as Private Practice. I have a strong background working with people who have anxiety and depression as well as ADHD. Being 11 years sober is one of the reasons that pushed me to develop expertise in substance abuse treatment. I work with alcoholics and addicts wanting to improve their lives as well as families who have loved ones struggling with substance abuse. I offer online and in-person counseling. I work hard to create a safe, comfortable space for my clients in my office. There is a comfortable seating area for one-on-one sessions. There is also an art area for those who find it easier to open up while working on a creative project, but I never push art on my clients as it is not a good fit for everyone. I create a safe space online by using a HIPAA-compliant platform. Additionally, I have a designated room in my home where I conduct sessions, which provides complete privacy. My goal is to provide you with a space where you won't feel judged and you will feel heard.
