My Approach to Helping
In my practice, I strive to create a space that balances acceptance and support with encouragement and accountability. My approach involves actively listening with compassion and without judgment, reflecting back on what I hear to help clients gain insight and a deeper understanding of themselves. I bring honesty, empathy, and genuine presence to every session, ensuring my clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their journey toward growth and healing.
More Info About My Practice
I believe our mental health is inextricably linked to the world and systems around us. It is important to acknowledge and challenge these systems as part of the therapeutic process while strengthening our understanding of what is within our control and enhancing our ability to cope with what is not. I view mental health care as an extension of mutual aid and community-focused care in that it can provide connection, support, and collaborative problem-solving. We are all connected and collectively have the resources we need if we’re willing to show up with love and compassion for ourselves and one another.
