My Approach to Helping

Struggling to be honest about your needs? Feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or stretched too thin by work and family? I help men and women who’ve lost sight of their own needs while meeting the expectations of others. The modern world demands too much, leaving little room for balance. I guide clients in stepping back, reassessing priorities, and creating a life that maximizes fulfillment while honoring their commitments. Getting this wrong leads to burnout, addiction, depression, anxiety, and a lack of purpose in life. Let’s redefine your approach and restore a sense of direction and purpose.

SATURDAY hours available! I have been practicing psychotherapy in diverse settings for 15 years. I completed my residency at Vanderbilt University and have served as an expert consultant for NBC's Today Show. As a psychologist, I have the opportunity to help people understand and navigate very difficult situations. I help my patients develop insight into problems that prevent them from achieving their goals. By reading between the lines and exploring the complexity of physical and mental health we are able to finally resolve long-standing concerns. Through honest conversation and direct feedback, we are able to transcend many challenging aspects of life. As a psychologist, I try to provide my patients with an authentic, down to earth, experience which will provide you with practical insights and actionable objectives. I won’t just ask you “how you feel about that” and offer self-affirming and supportive comments. I will ask you tough questions, give you straightforward feedback, and hopefully leave you feeling like this was a different kind of therapy experience. This is often what I hear from my patients who are relieved and enthusiastic about my approach. I want you to feel like you have made the right decision and have invested your money in a process that is worth your hard work. I look forward to helping you find the answers you're looking for!

I approach therapy with a focus on understanding the "whole person," which involves a detailed assessment of physiological and psychological issues. I tailor my treatment approach to meet the needs of the individual or couple. We will examine: sleep, nutrition, activity level, family history, relationships, occupational stress, and coping skills.

I have extensive specialized training that I received during my internship, residency, and the years I spent at Vanderbilt. I encourage you to demand more from mental health providers and seek the tailored and specialized treatment you deserve. Please call or email regarding questions about treatment, payment, or other inquiries.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I work with men and women who feel overwhelmed by the many roles they juggle in their lives. Trying to be everything to everyone can feel exhausting, leaving little room for your own needs. I help people who have lost sight of what truly matters to them and struggle to communicate those needs effectively.

If you often feel like you are never enough or that your efforts fall short, you are not alone. I am here to help you identify what you need and take meaningful steps toward achieving balance and fulfillment.

I specialize in relationship and work-life balance issues, working closely with busy professionals who find themselves stretched too thin. When left unaddressed, this imbalance can lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms such as excessive drinking, gambling, pornography addiction, or food addiction.

You do not have to stay trapped in this cycle. Let me help you find a way forward.
