My Approach to Helping
Choosing to go to therapy for your well-being can be hard. Good therapy often depends on having a good relationship with your therapist and being able to connect with them. I have 20 years of experience helping kids, teens, and adults as a therapist, both in public and private settings. I have a master’s degree in counseling psychology and work with people who have different mental health problems. I use proven methods to help with these issues while being sensitive to everyone’s backgrounds and needs. I also provide a free 30-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit to work together.
Psychotherapy for kids and teens is designed just for them. It helps them understand and express their feelings and deal with everyday problems. They learn skills to manage how they feel and behave. For adults, psychotherapy helps them understand their thoughts and feelings. It teaches them how to handle challenges and build skills to feel better.
Parenting consultations or training help parents deal with problems and learn new skills. They provide tools and methods to create a toolbox of skills to create a nurturing home, which can make the relationship with their children better.
In your first meeting, we will talk to understand you and why you came to therapy. We will also decide on clear goals that fit what you need. The therapy will look at you as a whole person and use methods that help you feel better and reach your wellness goals.
