My Approach to Helping
Dr. Yacoob is a Ph.D-level clinical psychologist who trained at some of the most esteemed academic institutions across NYC, including New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center, Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center, and Bellevue Hospital. For 15 years, she has been using evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and various insight-oriented talk therapies, to help people who have achieved great success academically and professionally but still feel stuck. Above all, she is invested in improving each person's understanding of themselves and general psychological mindedness, so that they can navigate each day with an improved quality of life and more inner peace.
People often seek treatment with Dr. Yacoob when they feel that their symptoms have become overwhelming and unmanageable and they notice impairments in their relationships at home or in the office. She has worked with many C-Suite level executives and entrepreneurs who seek support coping with demanding bosses, high levels of stress, and a challenging work-life balance. Dr. Yacoob practices in person and by video from her office at 41 Union Square in Manhattan, NY. She is an Out of Network provider, and has a seamless MyChart system to provide you promptly with Superbills that you can submit.
