My Approach to Helping
Hi There! I am Julie Alamos. I am an MSW intern committed to helping adults, couples and families learn how to build healthier relationships and behaviors. My main focus is using CBT and behavioral activation with clients to help influence mood and anxiety symptoms. I have experience working with young adults who have been through the foster care system and have suffered from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. In addition to working with young adults ages 18-21, I have had experience working with families in homelessness prevention. I have worked with families who have been through trauma and life-altering events to cope with challenging times. As a social worker, I am honored to work with clients from all walks of life who are experiencing a variety of obstacles in their lives.
