My Approach to Helping

I became a therapist so that I could help others with processing both everyday challenges as well as those that can hold us back from pursuing our goals. I provide clients with a warm, safe, non-judgmental space so they are comfortable sharing thoughts, feelings, or areas where they may be seeking change. Listening is a big part of what I do, and in our sessions together I will listen to what you have to say, again, without judgment. Although life can sometimes be overwhelming and therapy can be scary, I will be walking beside you to help you on this journey to foster your growth or help you to change behavioral issues that you have identified you want to change. We’ll also celebrate your wins and learn more about how you are successful in your daily life. Finally, I believe in the power of humor, so we might have a laugh or two during our time together.

More Info About My Practice

One of my strongest personal values is compassion. I have always found myself thinking of others and how I can best understand and support them. I’ve put this value into action by volunteering at agencies that provide food, clothing, and shelter for those in need. Making a career change to become a therapist is another way in which I am both honoring this value and putting it into action. I’m also a loyal friend and partner and strive to support those around me when they are in need and could use a helping hand. I also believe that we all have the right to live our lives the way we feel is best for us. I believe therapy can help us navigate the challenges that life and society present, help us develop resiliency, and assist us with developing techniques to combat these challenges so that we can live happier and fuller lives.
