My Approach to Helping
I am a Registered Social Worker in Ontario who holds both a master of Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as well as a master in Clinical Psychology from Cal State University Northridge (CSUN). Throughout my career, working with a wide variety of populations (e.g., medical patients, veterans, and individuals struggling with various daily stressors), I have come to believe that while pain and challenges are often inevitable in life, suffering can be addressed and managed.
My goal is to help individuals work on ways to not turn their pain into suffering and to help them make the necessary changes along the way to address concerns related to anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, anger, trauma, life transitions, stress management, and grief.
My approach is empathic and strengths-based, and I focus on helping each client identify goals based on their own personal values. Together, we work on adopting new coping skills, improving resilience, and learning ways to live a more meaningful life.
