My Approach to Helping
I strive to make my space a safe and supportive one, open to anyone from any background with any type of need. I strive to make the conversations open and client-led, while working to utilize my therapeutic background to personalize tools and skills for each client and their unique needs and challenges. The therapy experience is meant to provide a comforting and safe space to talk and collaborate with your therapist in a different way than is done with others. This includes building coping skills, building social skills, working through previous models and tools that were used and did not work for the client, allowing the client to determine what type of support they want and need to better themselves during our time together. A lot of client-ledclient-determined type therapy!
I have really enjoyed working with children diagnosed with Autism, so I am excited to potentially get the opportunity to work with teens and young adults diagnosed with Autism. I also enjoy supporting those who have anxiety, depression and some behavioral disorders. I specialize in Client-centered therapy, CBT, Developmental, the Individual and Relationship (DIR) model, and the Intentional Relationship model (IRM).
