My Approach to Helping
Hello: My name is Katy. I received my B.S. in Psychology from Boise State University and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. I have experience working with all ages experiencing a variety of mental health struggles including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, high-functioning autism, relationship challenges, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), bipolar, and more. I am open to working with adults, couples, and families.
I strive to make all clients feel safe, supported, seen, and heard during their time with me. I aim to create an open, honest, and empathetic relationship with each client while attending to their individual needs as each person is different. My main approaches include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I aim for a holistic approach to ensure that every part of a client’s life is considered and addressed during our time together in order to best serve you as the client.
