My Approach to Helping

My aim is to guide and support clients in gaining powerful insights, growing in self-awareness, cultivating a deeper connection to themselves and others, and ultimately, moving toward lasting change. My therapeutic approach is psychodynamically oriented and strengths-based. I believe that our past deeply informs our present. As such, examining and unpacking the foundational experiences and relationships in our lives often aids in unlocking the consciousness needed to live more authentically and fully.

In our work together, we will explore the relational, behavioral, and situational patterns of conflict that continue to show up in our lives as well as what prevents their resolution. I offer a warm, safe, and accepting environment for individuals, couples, and families. Welcome!

More Info About My Practice

I began my undergraduate education at Northwestern University and graduated with a BA in English, minor in Psychology, from Colgate University. I received my MSW from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. I have extensive experience working within community mental health, secondary schools, college counseling centers, and in private practice. I look forward to connecting with you.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Before transitioning into private practice, the bulk of my career was spent working in a UniversityCollege Counseling Center, where I served for 10 years. My areas of particular expertise include working with anxiety, depression, identity formation, self-esteem, relationships, communication, life transitions, family of origin, conflict resolution, abuse, trauma, and more.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

One of the best determinants of positive outcomes in therapy is the strength of the relationship between the client and therapist. I am here to support and serve all clients. If you are on the fence as to whether I may be a good fit for you, I'd love to schedule a free phone consultation for you to get a sense of who I am, how I work, and whether or not you feel comfortable moving forward.
