My Approach to Helping

Do other people push you around? Do you have a hard time saying no, and speaking up for yourself? Is it hard to even know what you want at all? Let's find your voice together. You'll discover what you need, and how to ask for it. You'll learn to identify your boundaries, put them into words, and expect respect from other people. Best of all, by learning to care for yourself, you can improve your relationships with your loved ones, too.

I teach clients the practical communication and coping skills of cognitive behavioral therapy through a feminist and multiculturally-informed lens. This methods centers your lived experience and unique strengths to help you build confidence and compassion for yourself. My "no judgment" approach adapts well to trauma, alternative relationships and lifestyles.

Not sure if you want to start? No problem. I offer a free consultation so you can feel out what therapy would look like, and whether we'd be a good fit. If not, I'll help you find someone who better suits your needs. I look forward to hearing from you!

More Info About My Practice

I combine the practical coping skills and communication strategies of Cognitive Behavior Therapy with a feminist, multicultural lens that takes your unique story seriously and discovers your personal strengths. You'll learn to assert your needs, set boundaries with others, and balance compassion for yourself with healthier relationships.

In our initial sessions, we'll explore what brings you to therapy, which diagnosis best fits, and form a plan of treatment based on your personal needs and goals. We will regularly check in about which methods are working or not working for you, and how you feel about your progress. Most clients report a steady improvement within the first two months.
