My Approach to Helping
In seeking therapy, you may be addressing depression, anxiety or substance use. You may be looking to improve personal relationships, navigate a life transition or change behaviors that aren’t working for you. You may be seeking therapy for yourself, your child or another family member. Whatever it may be, we can collaborate in a supportive environment to work towards meeting your needs.
As a therapist I am curious, non-judgmental, and honest. I bring a combination of warmth, practical help and a sense of humor. My approach to therapy is relational, trauma informed and queer and trans-affirming. I primarily treat adults and adolescents.
I spent four years working at a community agency where I worked with addiction issues, homelessness, post-incarceration transitioning and complex trauma. I have clinical experience working with college students, individuals with developmental disabilities and the LGBTQ+ community.
In our sessions, we can work through both short-term problems and long-term issues to develop insight into your past experiences. I tailor treatment to clients’ individual needs using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
We will utilize a solution-focused model to help you move forward and live a happy and healthy life.
