My Approach to Helping
I believe that every individual who is having difficulties in their individual journey or with interpersonal relationships needs to be supported and encouraged to make positive changes in their life. My counseling approach is supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I provide an empathetic relationship with each person that visits my office allowing a trusting therapeutic relationship to develop. My counseling approach guides one to explore the reasons for their lack of progress and discover repetitive patterns that keep them unable to move forward. I work together with each person that visits me to help them meet their own goals, as well as to help them monitor their own behavior and progress. I offer a range of therapeutic modalities, such as client centered therapy, cognitive therapy, DBT and Internal Family Systems Therapy.
