My Approach to Helping
My integrative therapeutic approach is rooted in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and trauma therapies. I believe that we become stuck in our pain when we hold it alone, disconnected from our core emotional experiences, and build defenses that become in a way of living our lives authentically.
In our work together, we will explore your struggles and their roots, identify how painful experiences became stuck and are affecting your present-day life, and examine ways of relating to yourself, others, and the world that no longer serve you. We will process unresolved experiences and feelings, helping you access your inner wisdom, strength, and resources to navigate your life in a way that feels right for you.
In my work, I’m oriented toward the innate ability to heal and thrive that we all have. I strive to craft an environment where it becomes possible. Even though I co-create a unique therapy with each person, what stays the same is having a safe space to hear your story and a secure relationship to explore it together, figuring out many ways of dealing with life challenges, and reaching for strength and resiliency to master the skill of living.
I focus on enhancing emotional awareness, building healthier emotional regulation skills, and cultivating self-compassion. Together, we will work towards healing past traumas, improving relationships, and empowering you to live a more fulfilling and authentic life. Additionally, we can explore existential questions such as the search for meaning, the inevitability of change, and accepting life’s uncertainties, leading to profound insights and a deeper understanding of your place in the world.
