My Approach to Helping
If you’re searching for a space to explore your identities, learn how to manage life stressors, or equip yourself with tools to reach your goals, you’ve taken an important first step! I look forward to building that space with you and working together to create the life you want.
My name is Kathryn Rabak, I use sheher pronouns, and I provide evidence-based and non-judgmental therapy that is tailored to your needs. My passion for helping others improve their lives through change, knowledge, and compassion is what drew me to the mental health field, and continues to be a thread that weaves through all aspects of my work.
Feedback and collaboration are also key components of my practice, which are BDSM and kink, LGBTQIA+, and sex-positive. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my goal is to use narrative, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, feminist, and solution-focused therapeutic strategies in a culturally sensitive way that empowers you and meets you where you’re at, just as you are.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as their caregivers. I have experience working with people who have had struggles or concerns in the following areas since 2014: depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, self-injury, suicidal thoughts and feelings, academic performance, body image, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation and sexuality, relational difficulties, and parenting.
If you feel that we may be a good match and you’re ready to begin the next stage of your journey, give me a call at (916) 836-4099 or email me at krabaklcsw@gmail.com. My office is in Sacramento, CA, and I am currently providing both in-person or telehealth sessions.
