My Approach to Helping
Relationships are my specialty. All kinds, from friendships and family to life partners and spouses to divorced and co-parenting. And, let's not forget the most important relationship of all -- the one you have with yourself.
You deserve better than sad, angry, lonely, and stressful. How's joyful, loving, peaceful, and meaningful sound?
Give me a call. I can help.

My Role as a Therapist
I like to use the visual of a messy desk to describe the work of therapy. My role is to help guide you through the metaphorical de-cluttering of all the piles on your desk, examining the contents of each pile, determining which things to keep and which to discard as no longer useful, and to eventually find the item you've been searching for all along. I believe you have the answers you're seeking, and my job is to help you uncover them.
What Makes up a Problem?
A problem is something that causes us distress and interferes with our optimal day-to-day functioning. A problem may manifest as a pattern of thought, a behavior, or as an experience that keeps us stuck in anger, resentment, fear, sadness, blame, and shame. It may wreak havoc with our health and well-being, our jobs, our families, and our hopes and dreams. It definitely keeps us from being our best selves and living our best lives.
