My Approach to Helping
Feelings of anxiety, depression, isolation, grief and loss, difficulties in communicating or achieving emotional intimacy with our partner, or even just a vague dissatisfaction with the trajectory of our lives may impel us to seek out a therapist. Change and growth are possible when we talk with someone with whom we can feel safe and build a sense of connection. I welcome you and all the parts of you that long for compassionate exploration. Let’s collaborate in understanding your issues, identifying your goals, and creating a path to achieving them. We may find useful a variety of approaches, including humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive therapy, somatic interventions, mindfulness, EMDR, and hypnosis.
