My Approach to Helping
My name is Keri Cooper, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and LPC Supervisor. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to make positive changes and live their best life. It's a privilege to be a part of that journey.
I believe thoughts are powerful and can be a hindrance to positive change or a tool to help make the changes we want to make. I use CBT tools and concepts to support clients in reducing stress, improving mood, and increasing problem-solving.
I enjoy working with older teens and adults who are wanting to reduce symptoms from anxiety, depression or recovering from exposure to trauma. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a partnership, and it's my honor to be a place of support and encouragement.
I believe it's important for clients to identify goals so that we can celebrate progress and make adjustments as needed. Therapy should bring about positive change and support the goals clients have identified for themselves.
The client should expect to be treated with respect and celebrated for who they are. I provide a non-judgmental perspective, supporting all walks of life, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and religious worldviews.
