My Approach to Helping

In therapy, I take a combined DBT and CBT approach to clients manage my emotions, challenge negative thought patterns, and improve their relationships. I use DBT techniques to develop mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation skills, clients cope with intense feelings and stressful situations. Through CBT, I help clients actively identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts, breaking the cycle of anxiety and self-doubt. By integrating these approaches, I help clients work on building healthier coping mechanisms, improving their interpersonal effectiveness, and creating a more balanced, fulfilling life.

More Info About My Practice

In our first session, you can expect a supportive and non-judgmental space where you'll feel validated and heard. We’ll create a safe environment for you to share your thoughts and emotions freely. Together, we'll begin to explore different parts of yourself, focusing on processing and releasing any trauma you’ve experienced. You’ll also learn techniques to let go of self-judgment, allowing space for healing and growth. Most importantly, this session will be the start of building a meaningful connection and establishing a path toward deeper self-awareness and personal transformation.

My Therapy Focus

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)- Used to change the way one thinks and behaves for positive outcomes.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy- Being aware that cultural differences and similarities between people exist without assigning them a value.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)- Helps to manage emotions and decrease dysregulation.

Trauma Informed Care- Recognizes the impact of trauma on people and integrates that into all areas of therapy.
