My Approach to Helping
Kim Roberts approaches her work as a therapist with genuine love, compassion, and a deep understanding of life’s challenges. Kim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado with a Master of Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Buena Vista University. Her therapeutic style incorporates various modalities, including person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), talk therapy, life coaching, and psychotherapy, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs.
With over 12 years of experience supporting families through trauma in emergency room settings, Kim has developed a profound capacity to provide compassionate care during times of crisis. Over the past four years, she has focused on individual, family, and couples therapy, working with clients across all age groups. Kim’s experience extends to working in jail settings, where she has helped individuals manage complex emotions and navigate community systems to access essential resources. Kim has also supported clients facing chronic pain, fibromyalgia, addiction, abuse, and systemic family challenges. Her extensive experience with addiction and family dynamics enables her to address cycles of behavior and guide clients toward healthier, more fulfilling lives. In all her work, Kim strives to empower her clients by offering understanding, tools, and strategies to help them overcome obstacles and achieve lasting growth.
