My Approach to Helping
We all struggle sometimes. Whether we are struggling with our feelings, our relationships, or other important parts of our lives, sometimes we need support through these difficulties. The good news is, there is hope. Therapy can help you learn ways to feel relief, feel stronger, become more resilient, and improve your sense of self-worth.
For many people, looking for the right therapist can be overwhelming. Finding the right fit is such an important part of therapeutic success, and yet it can be so hard to know where to start. Because I understand how stressful it may be, I am happy to provide a complementary 20 minute phone consultation to understand your needs and to help you with your search.
I use a direct, collaborative, and compassionate approach to help people who are: experiencing depression or anxiety; having trouble managing transitions (including relationships, work, loss, or illness); suffering from recent or past traumas; feeling depleted and having a tough time managing stress and worry; andor struggling with self-esteem and self-worth.
How we work together will depend on your individualized needs. I have expertise in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Guided Imagery, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. We will work together to understand your challenges, determine your goals, and discuss how up can feel better. Please feel free to reach out so we can discuss how I can help you move closer to living the life that you want.
