My Approach to Helping
How will you shape future chapters of your life? Therapy can help us navigate the most challenging times or begin the journey of changing negative core beliefs, turning toward experiencing the whole self and lasting well-being. We can make a sustainable change by welcoming present-moment awareness and developing healing responses to traumatizing life events. I work with clients to resolve suffering, build self-compassion and self-acceptance, and create new habits. Clients can expect sessions to include a solution-focused approach using mindfulness, acceptance, psychological flexibility, and evidence-based skill building. Therapy should be a judgment-free, secure space to explore emotions and experiences. Our trauma-informed offices provide varied seating options and allow you to evaluate and create the personal space that feels most comfortable for you. I specialize in holistic modalities focused on talk therapy, body awareness, mindfulness, drawing, and expression. Over the past twenty years, I have been a psychotherapist, program administrator, Applied Human Behavior professor, and clinical supervisor. My clinical style focuses on a range of third-wave therapeutic approaches, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions, Parts therapy, and the PERMA model (Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishments) of well-being. Please reach out via my contact information or use the direct scheduler to schedule the first appointment. I look forward to hearing from you!
