My Approach to Helping
Let's face it: life is stressful. Sometimes, emotions, thoughts, or behaviors can get in the way of where we are and where we want to be. Maybe your child is acting out, and you've run out of ideas on how to make peace in your home again; maybe you feel alone and overwhelmed because your partner is using again, and you’re barely holding it together; maybe you’re being bullied online and wonder if what they’re saying is true; maybe you have trouble connecting with others in relationships because of memories and hurts inflicted by others; maybe you feel confused and misunderstood and are struggling to find your own identity. I wish I could say I can “fix” everything, but there’s no magic button. I walk alongside my clients on their journey. I help my clients identify what they’re seeing, feeling, and living until they can find that direction. I’m trained in multiple evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, Gottman Method, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Medical Family Therapy, multiple systemic, individual, and faith-based therapies, and trained in LGBTQ+ counseling for adolescents and adults. I’ve worked with families, couples, and individuals (children, adolescents, and adults) since 2017.
