My Approach to Helping
Life is hard and life is tough, but I am always trying to find the smile in each day. I have a positive outlook and a calm demeanor. I truly believe that our minds are so powerful and we have the ability to change our emotions by changing our outlook on a situation. Through my own experiences, I know what it is like to feel at the end of the rope, and I know what it is like to get past that depression and live a healthy, happy life. Through working with families in foster care and students in the school system I see how truly difficult life is for some people. I enjoy showing people that no matter how difficult times are right now, life does get better. I have responded to numerous crisis situations so I am really good and remaining calm and focused regardless of what a client is telling me.
More Info About My Practice
I believe that every individual is created equally. Regardless of race, religion, or sexuality, we all experience the same emotions; we all cry and feel pain. Each person deserves to have their emotions validated and heard. I understand that life can present challenges, leading some to feel trapped. However, this feeling is not permanent; there is always hope for a brighter day, even in the darkest moments. I believe that people possess more resilience than they often realize. With the right tools and supportive relationships, individuals can navigate through difficult times. As a therapist, my role is to assist clients in discovering what strategies work best for them and how to manage stress and anxiety effectively. I emphasize the importance of being present in the moment while addressing the stresses of everyday life. My goal is to guide clients in cultivating mindfulness regarding their current circumstances, enabling them to find the most effective paths to healing and growth.
