My Approach to Helping
"I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Arizona and a LMHC in Washington State. I have multiple certifications to treat mental and behavioral conditions. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for individuals, families, and sexual exploitation and trafficking victims. I also have a certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and I am a Certified First Responder Counselor. I have worked within the behavioral health field with adult SMI clients, high-need teens, male parolees, residential substance abuse treatment, and at-risk teens who were sex-trafficked. I am a State Board Certified Counselor and a member of the American Psychological Association and American Counseling Association. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Hunter College in New York, NY, and my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. And now pursuing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Grand Canyon University." I have a person-centered eclectic approach to therapy. I do not believe that a one-size-fits-all all mentality is best practice. I treat a wide variety of clientele and have worked in various settings in the mental health field. I work from a supportive direct approach. Goal setting is based on what is important to the client and worked through from an achievable, measurable, and palatable approach.
