My Approach to Helping
Hi there! I know that life can feel chaotic and overwhelming and I am here to help you to recognize your potential for positive change.
You are in control of your life and your story. My role is to help you navigate life’s challenges and difficulties using techniques that feel right for you. It is my goal to cultivate an environment where you feel safe, supported, validated and where we can unpack complex issues and help you take control of the changes in your life through an empathetic and understanding lens. My approach incorporates 5+ years of practicing and methods of psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, Internal Family Systems, behavior modification and somatic therapy.
I am a licensed master social worker providing virtual mental health services to New York State residents. I specialize in adult individual mental health and have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, grief and loss and PTSD. I also have experience working with student athletes and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community. By utilizing modalities in psychotherapy such as behavioral therapy and somatic therapy, I focus on helping clients understand that difficult experiences in the pastpresent don't dictate how they live their lives.
I know that life can feel hard to navigate at times and that finding the right therapist can be challenging. I find it important for therapy to be a collaborative experience between client and clinician, where we can foster a strong therapeutic relationship, help you connect with your authentic self and offer an environment that strengthens your ability to cope with everyday life struggles. If you are interested in making an appointment, please call me for a free initial consultation. The focus of treatment, frequency of sessions, length of treatment, and cost are all decided on an individual basis based on individual needs, which will be discussed in the first several sessions. All services are virtual.
